For Faculty
Just made a breakthrough discovery that can innovate the industry?
Got a formula for a new nano material which could do fantastic things?
Or just want to do something different?
Faculty may first approach NTU Ventures to discuss the business applications and understand the full potential of their discovery. NTU Ventures can advise on commercialisation options, obtain industry experts for independent comments and more. Subsequently, Faculty will work with the Innovation & Technology office for the IP protection process.
The key value-add is that NTU Ventures looks after the interests of Faculty and performs the leg work to find and bring in industry experts to assess and elaborate on the technology's full potential. Given their board experience, these industry experts may suggest new applications, in different fields than what was initially planned for. This ultimately increases the value of the technology, increases chances financial returns to the inventors.
